We Want to Be Modern, National Museum, Warsaw 2011

Scenography and curation of a retrospective exhibition on one of the most important periods of Polish design, from the political thaw of 1955 to the social changes in 1968. Hosted by the National Museum in Warsaw, the showcase highlighted the complexities of Polish design in this era, through pieces discovered within the Museum collections and materials rarely seen from the Museum archives. The selection of around 180 objects explored the significant role that design for everyday life played in shaping the notion of a modern Polish identity.

We Want to Be Modern was later redesigned and adapted for the Museum voor Moderne Kunst, Arnhem in 2012.
