The Auditorium, London Design Festival 2016

The 100% Design Talks Programme hosts a range of international designers and influencers within one of London’s most established design trade fairs. The brief was to create a light and translucent temporary space, the best possible environment for lectures, talks and discussions.

We created the concept of a cocoon-like structure made out of multiple layers. The fabric was stretched and stitched like a sail at different angles, creating a translucent, acoustic nest, without using any vertical structures. The design team worked closely with Vescom, a company who create innovative acoustic materials such as the ‘Marmara’ fabric used for this installation.
