Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick, Somerset House, London 2016

A curated exhibition of work by 45 contemporary artists responding to the legendary film director and his oeuvre. Artist and musician James Lavelle inspired and assembled an international group of musicians, artists and film makers to bring his unique vision to life. Lavelle’s original approach ignited a new interest in Kubrick, as seen through the eyes of multi disciplinary artistic practices.

As the exhibition designers, Miska Miller-Lovegrove and Mathilde Bretillot created an essential artistic experience that mirrored the sensibility of Kubrick as a radical film director. The exhibition design incorporated large scale film screenings, art pieces and grand installations with specially commissioned music, all within the Neoclassical building at Somerset House.
